Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine simplified procurement of goods and services crucial to deal with COVID-19
29.03.2020 | 20:17On March 29, Ukraine Government adopted Resolution with the purpose to facilitate the procurement of goods, works and services that are necessary to fight COVID-19. From now on all customers could make such purchases through all territory of Ukraine.
According to the decision, the customer has only to publish information about the planned purchase and to report on the results of its implementation in the electronic procurement system.
Moreover, according to the List of goods, works and services, which are necessary to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, all customers across the territory of Ukraine can make purchases where previously only healthcare institutions had this opportunity.
"We should make every effort to simplify all procedures targeted to overcome the new coronavirus. We have followed up the suggestions from competent agencies, businesses and organizations and simplified the procurement processes for the significant goods and services, as well as we have expanded our customer base. Such changes will help us to ensure implementation of procurement by customers on time" noted Ihor Petrashko, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

ECA supported Ukrainian exports by UAH 627 million in the first quarter: Taras Kachka
As of 1 April 2024, Export Credit Agency (ECA) supported Ukrainian exports for the amount of UAH 627 million. Domestic exporters, in cooperation with ECA, attracted UAH 99.8 million in financing from partner banks during this period. Ratification of Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement by the Verkhovna Rada will help improve economic relations between the two countries: Yuliia Svyrydenko
The Government welcomes the ratification of Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The agreement between the two countries will contribute to the further development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, allow domestic producers to benefit from the liberalisation of Canadian goods markets and open up opportunities for Ukrainian business to expand their sales markets, as well as to develop and modernise their own production. This was stated by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine.

eRobota: The state invested over UAH 7.3 billion through grants in business development
Almost 15,000 entrepreneurs received grants to start or develop a business under the Government’s eRobota project. In general, the state has invested UAH 7.3 billion in entrepreneurship through grants since the start of the project. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), a part of the UN system, have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed on 10 April 2024 in the presence of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy by First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and IOM Director General Amy Pope.

Since the beginning of the year, the state has compensated entrepreneurs with UAH 45 million for the employment of more than 3,000 IDPs: Yuliia Svyrydenko
Since the beginning of 2024, the state has paid UAH 45 million to employers as part of the compensation programme for the employment of 3,300 internally displaced persons. This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.
