Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine simplified procurement of goods and services crucial to deal with COVID-19

On March 29, Ukraine Government adopted Resolution with the purpose to facilitate the procurement of goods, works and services that are necessary to fight COVID-19. From now on all customers could make such purchases through all territory of Ukraine.

According to the decision, the customer has only to publish information about the planned purchase and to report on the results of its implementation in the electronic procurement system.

Moreover, according to the List of goods, works and services, which are necessary to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19, all customers across the territory of Ukraine can make purchases where previously only healthcare institutions had this opportunity.

"We should make every effort to simplify all procedures targeted to overcome the new coronavirus. We have followed up the suggestions from competent agencies, businesses and organizations and simplified the procurement processes for the significant goods and services, as well as we have expanded our customer base. Such changes will help us to ensure implementation of procurement by customers on time" noted Ihor Petrashko, Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.
