According to the relocation program, 772 enterprises were relocated from dangerous regions which allowed to save more than 35,000 jobs. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna.
“To date, under the relocation program, 772 enterprises have moved their production facilities to safer regions, 605 of which have already resumed operations at the new location. It allowed to save more than 35,000 jobs. In addition, more than 7,000 people found jobs at the relocated enterprises. These enterprises continue to operate fully, supporting the stability of our economy, and pay taxes – they have transferred a total of over UAH 1.14 billion of single social contribution payments to the budget for the current year,” Tetiana Berezhna said.
According to her, 261 enterprises are currently searching for a suitable location or method of transportation. And 634 enterprises, which previously applied for relocation, refused relocation in connection with the de-occupation of the territories where they were located.
Most enterprises relocated to Lviv (28.6%), Zakarpattia (17.9%), Chernivtsi (12.2%), Ivano-Frankivsk (8.3%), Ternopil (7.5%) and Khmelnytskyi (7.5%) oblasts.
Among the relocated enterprises that have already resumed their operations at the new location, the largest share is enterprises operating in the field of:
- wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (40.7%);
- processing industry (30.2%);
- information and telecommunications (6.7%);
- professional, scientific and technical activities (6.2%);
- construction (4.4%).
Any enterprise can join the relocation program and receive a package of state support, which includes the following options:
- selection of a location for the company’s facilities;
- assistance in transportation to a new location;
- assistance in the resettlement of employees and the search for new employees;
- support in the restoration of logistics, purchasing raw materials and finding sales markets.
Enterprises are currently relocated to one of sixteen regions (Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Rivne, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Odesa and Kyiv (excluding the city of Kyiv) oblasts).
