Since the beginning of 2023, businesses have received affordable loans worth UAH 18.2 billion

Over 500 entrepreneurs received loans under the government's “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” programme last week, totalling UAH 2.4 billion. Since the beginning of 2023, banks have issued 5,600 loans worth UAH 18.2 billion for businesses. Since the start of the programme (February 2020), 58.5 thousand loans worth UAH 184 billion have been issued.

Most entrepreneurs took out anti-crisis loans (UAH 62.4 billion) and anti-war loans (UAH 53.9 billion). UAH 28.7 billion was disbursed to refinance previously obtained loans, and UAH 10.9 billion – for investment purposes. In addition, agrarians received UAH 26.6 billion in loans to support their operations, and trading companies took out UAH 1.5 billion in loans to replenish their working capital.

The programme is most commonly used by companies operating in the following sectors:

  • agriculture (53%);
  • trade and production (23%);
  • industrial recycling (14%).

The leading regions by the amount of loan agreements are Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia Oblasts and the city of Kyiv.

As of today, 45 banks participate in the programme, with the largest number of loans issued by Pryvatbank (25.7 thousand), Oschadbank (8.5 thousand) and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (5.3 thousand).

As a reminder, the government's "Affordable Loans 5-7-9%" programme allows you to borrow up to UAH 60 million at 0% for the period of wartime +1 month. Retailers have access to loans of up to UAH 1 billion at 5% per annum, which allows them to pay their suppliers on time and replenish their financial balance.

In addition, the Government has expanded the programme of affordable loans for businesses destroyed by the hostilities. Entrepreneurs will be able to receive a 9% loan for up to UAH 60 million for up to 5 years to restore production facilities.
