National business is our main partner in rebuilding the country, and we must jointly prepare a plan for the recovery and development of Ukraine for the next four years. This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko during a meeting with representatives of the European Business Association.

“Private capital will be the basis for the recovery and development of Ukraine. Therefore, together with domestic business we have to develop the Ukraine Plan within the Ukraine Facility, which will allow us to receive EUR 50 billion of financing from the EU for economic development over the next four years. We have to prepare the plan by the end of October, so we urge business representatives to join the working groups to draft this document and submit their proposals for identifying priority development sectors and programs to stimulate them, which will allow us to recover the country as quickly as possible,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, the priority sectors include defence, agriculture, energy and green metallurgy. The Government is currently focusing on the development of the processing industry, manufacturing products with a high share of added value to meet consumer needs both in the domestic and foreign markets.

“Stimulating the national commodity producer, manufacturing high-quality Ukrainian products, and promoting them on the domestic and foreign markets is a key task of the Government today. After all, domestic business is our main partner in the country’s recovery, and we must create the most comfortable working conditions for it,” emphasized Yuliia Svyrydenko.

Currently, the government is implementing a grant program for processing companies, under which they can receive financial support from the state in the form of a development grant of up to UAH 8 million. The Ministry of Economy is also working on proposals to focus the program of 5-7-9% affordable loans on the development of the processing industry.

During the meeting with the business, they also discussed humanitarian demining, which is extremely important for agricultural companies, improving the reservation system for persons liable for military service, supporting exporters and domestic businesses entering international markets, and deregulation.
