Denmark has allocated a new military aid package for Ukraine, which includes DKK 200 million with a special focus on supporting Ukrainian manufacturers of the military-industrial complex.

In addition to supporting our manufacturers, a total of almost DKK 2 billion is allocated for the purchase of ammunition, drones and components for missiles in cooperation with the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, as well as for strengthening the maritime component of the Defence Forces of our State.

“Denmark systematically supports Ukrainian manufacturers in various fields. Nowadays, the military-industrial complex has been added to them. This is an important contribution not only to our stability on the battlefield, but to our economy, because these are jobs for Ukrainians and taxes that remain within the country,” First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko noted following the results of the working visit to Denmark.

In addition, Denmark has expanded the financing of the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark by DKK 300 million. The fund supports not only Danish exporters, but also provides financial instruments for Ukrainian companies that have Danish suppliers and Danish companies that are ready to invest in Ukraine. The fund has already selected 21 projects that Denmark is ready to implement in Ukraine. Currently, the projects are at the evaluation stage.

“In view of the expansion of financing, we agreed with the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark to discuss investment projects collected by the Ministry of Economy in priority sectors for the Government. To analyse their implementation potential within the framework of the fund’s work and, if necessary, to strengthen these projects through state support so that they meet the requirements and can apply for available financial instruments from Denmark,” Yuliia Svyrydenko told about the results of the meeting with the CEO of the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark Peder Lundquist.

According to her, in addition to supporting investments in Ukraine, partners are ready to support Ukrainian imports to Denmark. The country already has several pilot projects. For example, shelves with goods made in Ukraine appeared in Danish supermarkets.

“We hope to scale up this initiative. In addition, the Danish Chamber of Commerce is ready to popularize the purchase of Ukrainian products by Danish companies and to promote the entry of Ukrainian manufacturers into the Danish market. And of no less important is the fact, we strive to deepen the cooperation of Ukrainian and Danish manufacturers in the field of humanitarian demining. The Danish Hydrema, which produces heavy demining machines, has already localized its production in Ukraine. The company’s capacity allows for the production of 14 machines over the next 2 years. Therefore, we hope that we will be able to jointly achieve the realization of these capabilities for the sake of the security of Ukrainian lands, Minister of Economy added.
