The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has presented the draft National Energy and Climate Plan at a meeting of the High-Level Advisory Group
04.03.2024 | 18:10 | Section for Public and Mass Media RelationsThe Ministry of Economy of Ukraine presented the draft National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP) at a meeting of the High-Level Advisory Group (HLAG). On 4 March 2024, Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, took part in a meeting with international partners.
Deputy Minister congratulated the participants of the HLAG and noted that the development of NECP began only eight months ago, and during this time Ukraine has made enormous progress. After the opening speech, Oleksii Sobolev presented the draft NECP. In particular, he announced that the process of strategic environmental assessment (SEA) had begun, demonstrated the main goals enshrined in the draft NECP and shared the energy policies of the Plan. At the end of the meeting, Oleksii Sobolev focused on issues that have not yet been resolved or are being discussed.
“The most important part will come with the implementation of NECP. We need not only a Plan, but also the capacity and resources to implement it. We very much hope for close cooperation with all our international partners and potential investors in order to turn the plans we will discuss today into real changes and reforms,” Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy, emphasized during his speech.
Viktoriia Kyreyeva, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, and Svitlana Hrynchuk, Deputy Minister of Energy, also took part in the presentation of NECP.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed the upcoming Conference on the Restoration of Ukraine and the next steps in the framework of the development of NECP.

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine coordinates the development of NEPC, in which all key ministries and departments are involved, together with independent experts under the auspices of DiXi Group Think Tank and PI Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine with the support of the Embassy of Great Britain and the Net Zero World Initiative.

Ukraine and Denmark have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on long-term cooperation and reconstruction of Ukraine. Ukraine Investment Framework Steering Board approves terms of operation of the investment component of the Ukraine Facility
The first meeting of the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) Steering Board, at which the rules of procedure and Strategic Guidelines for the investment component of the EU’s Ukraine Facility programme were approved, has taken place. Foreign investors can diversify risks by investing in small and medium-sized businesses: Nadiia Bihun
