Practical mechanisms for the reconstruction of Ukraine are already under development, – Yuliia Svyrydenko in London

First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko met at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office with the coordinators of the Ukraine Recovery Conference to take place in London in June 2023.
Today, the pace and ambition of the governments of the partner states, international financial institutions, the Ukrainian government and business allows presenting practical tools and reconstruction projects at the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be held in London in June 2023.
The organizers of the conference share Ukraine’s focus on practical results. The June conference in London should be a logical continuation of all the previous work on establishing coordination for the recovery of Ukraine, which was performed in the context of the conferences in Lugano and Berlin.
“We strive to come up with practical and well-developed recovery mechanisms at the Conference in London. This is extremely necessary for the further practical implementation of decisions and developments adopted or proposed at the conferences in Lugano and Berlin and progress in the reconstruction of Ukraine,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.
It was also stated that the Ministry of Economy is particularly interested in the maximum involvement of private investments in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Therefore, it is especially important to present war risk insurance instruments, structures of funds for raising private investment, etc. at the upcoming conference.

We remind you that the development of the Ukraine Recovery Plan presented at the conference in Lugano is currently underway. To date, more than 300 proposals have been received from Ukrainian businesses and the public in Ukraine. Comments and proposals were received from representatives of 14 countries, UN agencies, Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine, EBRD, World Bank Group, European Investment Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency and a number of international organizations and institutions.
And the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development conducted a thorough expert examination of the draft Recovery Plan. At the same time, the Advantage Ukraine platform offers opportunities for a total of more than USD 400 billion, the implementation of which will become the basis of the post-war recovery and development of Ukraine’s economy.
Proposals of Ukraine and its allies announced at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in October 2022 are being processed. In particular, it is about the implementation of the roadmap to launch the platform for the coordination of donors and partners, namely the financial and economic Ramstein.

Ukraine received the second tranche of €1.5 billion under the "Ukraine Facility" programme
On Wednesday, 24 April, Ukraine received €1.5 billion in transitional funding for the "Ukraine Facility".
