Ministry of Economy: the First 227 Winners of the Micro-Grant Program Have Received Funds to Their Accounts
22.08.2022 | 14:41Today, the Ministry of Economy transferred the funds to the accounts of the first 227 winners of the micro-grant program “Your Business”. In total, UAH 52.7 million was transferred to the accounts of micro-grant recipients.
“The government continues to implement measures to stabilize the economic situation in the country and support entrepreneurs. We stimulate the creation of jobs, in particular, through the issuance of grants for business start-up and development. Today, 227 Ukrainians from among the winners of the first and second wave of the micro-grant program received their money. And they can start working on the implementation of their business ideas. Someone will open their hairdressing salon, coffee shop or store, which they have long dreamed of, and someone will purchase additional equipment, hire new employees to expand an already working business or to relocate to other directions. Today, the state gave each of them a resource for this,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Government decided to allocate 103.3 million Ukrainian hryvnias from the reserve fund to provide grants to the winners of the eRobota program in starting their own businesses and planting a garden.
According to her, from among all the grant programs launched by the Government, micro-grants are in the greatest demand among Ukrainians. In particular, during the four waves, 7,861 citizens applied for micro-grants.
In accordance with the results of the first two waves, which have already been processed, 748 people will receive funding programs for a total amount of UAH 172 million, which provides for the creation of more than 2,000 jobs. The results and the number of winners of the third wave will be announced on 19 August, and applications for the fourth wave are currently being accepted.
We remind that the state program of micro-grants for businesses involves provision of Ukrainians with UAH 50,000 to 250,000 for starting or developing their businesses.
Both novice entrepreneurs and people with business experience can receive micro-grants. You can apply for it through the Diia Portal.

European Commission approves the Plan for the Ukraine Facility
On Monday, 15 April, the European Commission approved the Plan for the Ukraine Facility and invited the EU Council to adopt the document.
