The Government has transferred UAH 62.05 million to the winners of the Own Business micro-grant program. 265 Ukrainians received funds to start or develop their businesses. The total amount of payments under various programs of the eRobota project has already amounted to almost UAH 264 million. This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko
“Supporting business and creating jobs are priority areas of the Government’s work at this difficult time. Among all programs of the eRobota project, the most popular is the Own Business micro-grant program, which stimulates the development of entrepreneurship. Every two weeks we have more than two hundred entrepreneurs winners of this program, who get the opportunity to start or expand their businesses with state support. Our goal is to ensure the creation of at least 300,000 new jobs due to the implementation of grant programs,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.
Currently, new winners of the Own Business program have been determined – as part of the ninth wave of implementation of this initiative, 240 entrepreneurs will receive micro-grants for a total of UAH 56.6 million.
Among the winners of the ninth wave of the program, 64 people plan to start or develop projects in the field of wholesale and retail trade, 59 – in the processing industry, 30 – in the field of temporary accommodation and organization. The implementation of business plans of grant recipients will result in the creation of 585 jobs.
The largest number of winners of the ninth wave are from Lviv (38 people) and Rivne (22 people) oblasts as well as the city of Kyiv (27 people).
Let us remind that the eRobota project includes 6 grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship. In particular, these are programs of micro-grants for opening or developing your own business, grants for the creation and development of processing enterprises, planting a garden and viticulture, greenhouse farming, support for IT startups and starting in IT.
Applications are currently accepted for all areas of the eRobota program. Applications are submitted through the Diia Portal.
