The Made in Ukraine office has been opened in Chernihiv to support micro and small businesses

В Чернігові відкрили офіс «Зроблено в Україні» для підтримки мікро- та малого бізнесу

The Made in Ukraine regional office has started working in Chernihiv to support micro and small businesses in the region. The opening of the office took place with the participation of First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko.

“We understand the difficult conditions in which Ukrainian entrepreneurs work, especially in the front-line and border regions. After Sumy, we are opening the second Made in Ukraine regional office in Chernihiv. It will work on the basis of the Chernihiv Regional Employment Centre. Here, small and micro-businesses will be able to receive consultations, help in drawing up documents for obtaining grants and participation in other support programmes. We see a request from entrepreneurs for such offices, because it is an opportunity not only to get information quickly and in a convenient format, but even to directly submit an application or solve problematic issues,” Yuliia Svyrydenko emphasized.

According to her, the Made in Ukraine offices are only a small part of the Government’s business support policy. In particular, the Government’s priority this year is to stimulate production, attract investments in the real sector and increase the volume of non-raw materials exports. This is especially important in the context of the frontline and de-occupied regions, where business has suffered the most.

“This year, we allocated more than UAH 45 billion to the budget for business support programmes. This is a record amount for recent years. UAH 1.25 billion have been envisaged for the Chernihiv Oblast this year. This amount can be increased, because the more actively businesses in the region will develop production and apply for support programmes, the more funds they will be able to receive. Our goal, both at the regional and national level, is to change the structure of the economy and increase the share of processing, because there are no examples of successful raw material countries in the world,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.

According to First Deputy Prime Minister, this year the Government will implement a number of business support programmes, in particular Affordable Loans 5-7-9, grants for processing with the possibility of receiving up to UAH 8 million for the development of production, Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) micro-grants and grants for male and female veterans, their wives and husbands, eOselia mortgage programme. The School Bus programme will work, the compensation programme for the purchase of agricultural machinery of Ukrainian production has been resumed. In addition, the Government has launched a programme for the development of the infrastructure of industrial parks, a programme for supporting projects with significant investments, and others.

Work is also underway to expand localization for both civilian and military public procurement. Excluding GPA countries.
