Year of eRobota operation: UAH 4 billion invested by the state in business development through grants

Over the year of the Government’s eRobota grant program, the state has invested UAH 4 billion in business development. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.
“On 1 July of last year, the Government launched the eRobota grant programs to support businesses in this difficult time and to help them recover and develop. Over 5,600 entrepreneurs have already received grants under these programs over the past year. The Government has invested a total of UAH 4 billion to boost the business sector. The grants have enabled Ukrainians to start their own businesses, and operating businesses have opened new areas of activity, expanded their scope of operations and increased production of goods and services. Thousands of Ukrainians have been employed by these companies thanks to the new jobs created,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.
In general, since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022:
- 5,061 micro-grants worth UAH 1.2 billion have been issued under the Own Business program;
- 455 grants worth UAH 2.4 billion have been issued for the development of processing enterprises;
- 88 grants worth UAH 325 million have been issued for horticulture and greenhouse development.
Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted through the Diia portal together with business plans. A mandatory condition for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs, namely from 1-2 when providing a micro-grant to several dozen when providing grants under other programs. Grant funds are returned to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid in the course of the enterprise’s activities over a period of three years.
As a reminder, the eRobota project was introduced by the Government in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate the creation of new jobs. It includes several grant programs. Moreover, these include micro-grant programs for starting or developing a business, grants for establishing and developing processing enterprises, planting a garden, establishing viticulture and greenhouse facilities.

Ukraine and Denmark have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on long-term cooperation and reconstruction of Ukraine. Ukraine Investment Framework Steering Board approves terms of operation of the investment component of the Ukraine Facility
The first meeting of the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF) Steering Board, at which the rules of procedure and Strategic Guidelines for the investment component of the EU’s Ukraine Facility programme were approved, has taken place. More than UAH 3.2 billion will be available to businesses in Dnipropetrovsk region under the Made in Ukraine state policy: Yuliia Svyrydenko

Foreign investors can diversify risks by investing in small and medium-sized businesses: Nadiia Bihun
Despite the war, the financial system of Ukraine remains stable. At the same time, the expansion of available investment insurance instruments against military risks and the increase in the availability of loans and grants from international banks and international financial organizations will stimulate foreign investors to invest in new joint projects with Ukrainian businesses.
