Minister Mylovanov and US Senior Advisor Winter discussed topical issues of reforming the national defence industry
The Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov, jointly with his Deputy Svitlana Panaiotidi held a meeting with US delegation led by United States’ Senior Defence Industry Advisor for Ukraine Dr. Donald Winter.
Tymofiy Mylovanov informed US delegation on key priorities of Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, among which he noted: reforming the labor market, attracting investments into the national economy, land reforming, openness of Ministry’s policy, stability of macroeconomics, development of exports and increase of international trade.
Furthermore, during the meeting, the parties discussed the main aspects of reforming the national defence-industrial complex. Attention was also focused on:
- reforming the state-ownership management system in the defenсe-industrial complex of Ukraine and implementing corporate governance standards at state-owned enterprises;
- ensuring openness of the state defenсe order and transparency of defenсe procurements;
- ensuring proper coordination between the defenсe industry and the security and defence sector institutions.
US delegation was briefed on the main directions of Ministry’s cooperation with NATO, in particular about the future Workshop on developing national defence industry with NATO experts’ participation, which will be held in December this year in Kyiv.

Ukraine can adopt a holistic approach to land demining in Cambodia: Ihor Bezkaravainyi
As part of a several-day joint working visit with the participation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Bezkaravainyi visited the Kingdom of Cambodia – a country that, before the beginning of the large-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, was considered the most mined in the world. During the visit, the Ukrainian delegation was introduced to the work of relevant departments involved in demining. Meetings were also held at the level of deputy ministers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia. Members of the delegation had the opportunity to find out more about the progress of demining operations in the country. -

UAH 1.25 billion is provided for to support business development in the Chernihiv Oblast in 2024: Yuliia Svyrydenko
This year, as part of the Made in Ukraine policy initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Chernihiv Oblast businesses will be able to receive at least UAH 1.25 billion under all support programmes. Assembled and partially localized in Ukraine: the MV-4 light demining vehicle was tested at the training ground
The DOK-ING MV-4 light demining vehicle, assembled and partially localised in Ukraine, was tested at a training ground. For the first time, the tests were conducted in accordance with the pilot project developed by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and approved by the Government regarding the mandatory certification of mechanized demining equipment (Resolution No. 271).
