eRobota: 8,000 entrepreneurs have secured state grants worth UAH 4.4 billion to foster business growth.

єРобота: 8 000 підприємців отримали гранти від держави для розвитку бізнесу на 4,4 млрд грн

In the 15 months since the launch of the Government's eRobota grant programme, the state has allocated UAH 4.4 billion to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. Grants were awarded to 8,000 Ukrainians to start or expand their businesses. This was announced by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.

"So far, 8,000 Ukrainians have received financial support from the government to establish or expand their businesses through the eRobota grant programmes. Since July of the previous year, a total of UAH 4.4 billion has been invested in the development of entrepreneurship through grants. These investments are already yielding results: new companies have been established, existing ones have expanded their production capacity and launched new product lines. This initiative has also generated nearly 30,000 new jobs in small and medium-sized enterprises. Moreover, grant recipients have contributed over UAH 800 million in taxes and fees to the treasury, thereby reimbursing a portion of the state's investments," Yuliia Svyrydenko reported.

Since its launch in July 2022, the eRobota project has achieved the following:

  • Vlasna Sprava programme: 7,305 microgrants worth UAH 1.7 billion have been disbursed;
  • Development of processing enterprises: 417 grants worth UAH 2.2 billion have been disbursed;
  • Horticulture and greenhouse development: 122 grants worth UAH 490 million have been disbursed;
  • Support for veterans and their families: 83 grants worth UAH 28 million have been disbursed.

Both existing entrepreneurs and individuals without prior business experience are eligible to apply for a grant. Applications, including a business plan, should be submitted through the Diia portal. A key requirement for grant eligibility is the creation of new jobs, ranging from 1-2 jobs for microgrants to several dozen for grants under other programmes. The grant funds are reimbursed to the state through taxes and fees generated during the company's operations over a three-year period.

As a reminder, the eRobota  project was initiated by the Government in July 2022 to bolster businesses and encourage job generation. It encompasses various grant programmes, such as microgrants for initiating or enhancing businesses, grants for establishing and advancing processing facilities, and grants for orchard planting, viticulture, and greenhouse development.
