Already in the near future, the first 424 entrepreneurs will be able to start or expand their businesses thanks to the state grant program. 98.2 million Ukrainian hryvnias will be transferred to their accounts, which they will be able to spend on purchasing or leasing equipment, renting premises, purchasing feedstock and materials.
Residents of Kyiv will receive the most grants – 101 successful applications. Also, the leaders in the number of positive decisions are entrepreneurs from Kyiv Oblast – 62 applications, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – 52 applications and Poltava Oblast – 40 applications.
Among the activities, the largest number of grants will be used for the development or establishment of enterprises of wholesale and retail trade as well as repair of motor vehicles – 142. In addition, 127 recipients of the funds plan to launch processing industry enterprises. Another 66 grants will be awarded to economic entities for the establishment or development of their own hotels, campsites, cafes and restaurants.
In total, 5,031 entrepreneurs have already applied for micro-grants through the Diia Portal. All those who successfully pass the stages of selection and get a high score will receive 50 to 250 thousand Ukrainian hryvnias for an existing or new business. Funds can be used for purchasing or leasing equipment, renting premises, purchasing feedstock and materials. A participant must create 1 to 2 jobs and operate for 3 years, paying taxes and fees.
Development of small and medium-sized enterprises, creation of new jobs – are the results we expect from the program in the near future. Micro-grants are a new start and unique opportunities for Ukrainians to make their own contribution to the recovery of the economy and ensure the well-being of our country.
