The Interdepartmental Working Group on Implementation of the State Sanctions Policy will work in Ukraine

The Government has created the Interdepartmental Working Group on Implementation of the State Sanctions Policy. The corresponding decision was adopted at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 30.

The main tasks of the group are:

  • analysis of the state of implementation of the applied sanctions and monitoring of their effectiveness;
  • determining the reasons that lead to improper preparation of proposals for the application, cancellation and amendment of sanctions and their implementation, study of the results of activities in the specified area;
  • drawing up and submitting recommendations and proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The interdepartmental group is a temporary consultative and advisory body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and it will work under the chairmanship of First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy.

It includes government officials from the ministries of economy, finance, justice, internal affairs, foreign affairs, and reintegration of temporarily occupied territories. Representatives of the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Ministry of Defense and the Head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption are also involved in the work. The involvement of representatives of other state bodies and departments is provided for.

Meetings will be held at least once a month.

We remind you that in April 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine endorsed the decision to introduce a full embargo on the import of goods from the Russian Federation. From now on, no products of the rf may be imported into the territory of Ukraine.

In August, the Government decided to withdraw more than 900 objects of Russian ownership in favor of Ukraine.
