As part of the eRobota project, more than 4,000 grants for the development of entrepreneurship were issued to Ukrainians for a total of UAH 2.4 billion. This was reported by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.

“eRobota grant programs introduced by the Government in the summer of last year are in great demand among Ukrainians. To date, more than 4,000 entrepreneurs have received financial support in the form of grants for business start-up and expansion for a total amount of UAH 2.4 billion. With these funds, hundreds of new enterprises have already been opened, the volume of processing and manufacturing of finished products is increasing, and several hundred hectares of gardens have been planted. Thousands of Ukrainians got jobs at these enterprises. Grants from the state are investments in the development of entrepreneurship as a whole and individual industries, creation of new jobs and strengthening of the country's economic front,” said Yuliia Svyrydenko.

In general, since the launch of the eRobota project in July 2022:

  • 3,727 micro-grants worth UAH 876 million have been issued under the Own Business program;
  • 239 grants worth UAH 1.3 billion have been issued for the development of processing enterprises;
  • 74 grants worth UAH 152 million have been issued for horticulture;
  • 10 grants worth UAH 51 million have been issued for the development of greenhouse farming.

Both existing entrepreneurs and people with no business experience can apply for a grant. Applications are submitted through the Diia portal together with business plans. A mandatory condition for receiving a grant is the creation of new jobs, namely from 1-2 when providing a micro-grant to several dozen when providing grants under other programs. Grant funds are returned to the state in the form of taxes and fees paid in the course of the enterprise’s activities over a period of three years.

As a reminder, the eRobota project was introduced by the Government in July 2022 to support businesses and stimulate the creation of new jobs. It includes several grant programs. Moreover, these include micro-grant programs for starting or developing a business, grants for establishing and developing processing enterprises, planting a garden, establishing viticulture and greenhouse facilities.
