The European Union is Ukraine's main trading partner. According to the results of 2023, the share of trade in goods with the EU amounted to 56.6% of the total trade of Ukraine, in 2024 it amounted 53.8%.

Turnover                  2024: $ 60.5 billion (↑5.6%).

Exports         2023: $ 24.7 billion (↓11.4%):

Cereals – 18.5% (↓2.1%);

Fats and oils – 12.1% (↓2.5%);

Ferrous metals – 8.8% (↓22.3%);

Electric machines – 8.3% (↓11.3%);

Oil seeds and fruits – 7.9% (↓33.2%);

Ores and slags – 6.7% (↓30.1%);

Wood and articles of wood – 5.2% (↓20.1%);

Residues and waste from the food industries – 3.2% (↑55.8%).

          2024: $ 24.8 billion (↑0.5%):

Cereals – 15.8% (↓14.4%);

Fats and oils – 13.6% (↑13.1%);

Oil seeds and fruits – 9.7% (↑24.0%);

Electric machines – 8.4% (↑1.5%);

Ferrous metals – 8.1% (↓7.3%);

Ores and slags – 6.6% (↓1.3%);

Wood and articles of wood – 4.8% (↓7.5%);

Residues and waste from the food industries – 3.3% (↑1.8%).

Imports         2023: $ 32.6 billion (↑21.1%):

Energy materials – 20.3% (↑2.4%);

Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 11.2% (↑25.3%);

Nuclear reactors, boilers, machines – 8.3% (↑40.3%);

Electric machines – 5.0% (↑8.8%);

Plastics and polymeric materials – 4.8% (↑15.5%);

Pharmaceutical products – 4.7% (↑17.7%);

Fertilisers – 2.1% (↑62.4%);

Other chemical products – 2.0% (↑0.4%).

2024: $ 35.7 billion (↑9.4%):

Energy materials – 17.1% (↓7.6%);

Ground transport facilities excluding railway – 10.4% (↑1.1%);

Nuclear reactors, boilers, machines – 9.3% (↑23.4%);

Electric machines – 5.9% (↑27.7%);

Pharmaceutical products – 4.9% (↑14.6%);

Plastics and polymeric materials – 4.4% (↑1.0%);

Other chemical products – 1.9% (↑2.5%);

Fertilizers – 1.8% (↓9.3%).

Balance         2023: - $ 7.9 billion.
