Development of own agricultural industry and processing is the basis of Ukraine's food security policy: Taras Kachka
Food security is among the top priorities for both Ukraine and many international organisations that help countries improve their food systems and develop their own agricultural industries. For Ukraine, the restoration of agriculture and the development of the processing industry is also a key issue. The Government has provided Ukrainian entrepreneurs with access to finance, in particular through grant programmes, to restore or develop their businesses or start up new ones, including in the processing industry.

UAH 60 billion in affordable loans received by businesses since the beginning of 2023
Last week, 397 entrepreneurs received loans totalling UAH 1.6 billion under the government's 5-7-9% affordable loans programme. Since the beginning of 2023, banks have granted 17,600 loans worth UAH 60 billion to businesses. Since the launch of the programme in February 2020, 70,700 loans worth UAH 227 billion have been disbursed.

The Ministry of Economy calls on businesses in the de-occupied territories to apply for grants for processing enterprises
A wave of applications for grants for processing plants is currently underway. The first results will be announced in about three weeks. The Ministry of Economy is encouraging entrepreneurs to apply for grants to develop processing plants and create jobs in the de-occupied territories. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy Nadiia Bihun during a live broadcast of the National Telethon.
