On Thursday, August 17, 2023, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, handed over the instrument on Ukraine’s acceptance of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO). Thus, Ukraine joined the ranks of WTO members who adopted this historic Agreement aimed at the development of sustainable fisheries. -

These and other important issues were discussed during a meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and foreign ambassadors as part of a working group on the practical implementation of the principles of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula in relation to its environmental security part.
