Malakhova N. «The theory and the practice of marginal
pricing in Ukraine (by the
example of a subway)» – The author considers contradictions of the pricing
fixed by the acting “Order of formation of tariffs on services in subways in Ukraine” and
proposes a means of pricing on the basis of averaged expenses. The constructed
plots apply the marginal analysis for real enterprises. A procedure of
calculations of the payoff index for the whole capital spent by an enterprise
for the true evaluation of the enterprise’s profitability is presented.

V. Korneev «The anticrisis tools for a financial
stabilization» – The problem of ensuring the anticrisis stabilization of
the financial systems of world’s countries and Ukraine is considered. The tools to
control the liquidity of banks and to finance the real sector as the basis of
the economic renewal are analyzed. The resulting evaluations and the
expectation with accent on the necessity to realize the first-turn stabilizing
measures in Ukraine
are substantiated.
N. Shvets’ «Problems with banks’ capital under the
world financial crisis» – The role of the
sufficiency of a capital of banking institutions for the functioning of
country’s banking system on the whole, especially under conditions of the
progressing financial crisis, is clarified. The degree of the introduction of
the Basel-II-principles concerning the determination of and the control over
the sufficiency of a capital into the domestic banking practice is analyzed,
and the directions of this process in Ukraine are indicated.
O. Popovych, T. Chervins’ka «The estimate of real
priorities in the financing of Ukraine’s
science» – On the basis of data of the official
statistics, the dynamics of the financing of the Ukrainian science by its
branches for 1995--2007 with regard for the inflation is analyzed in detail. The
authors construct the rating of science’s branches by the growing level of
their financing relative to 1995 and demonstrate that the real priorities in
the support of the Ukrainian science differ from those officially claimed and
approved by the law.

Dem’yanenko S. «Agriholdings in Ukraine: the process of formation and
development» – The problematic questions about the formation and the
functioning of agriholdings in Ukraine
are clarified. In particular, the main directions of their creation and the
organization of their work, the place of these structures in the system of
utilization of agricultural lands, their interrelations with state’s and other
forms of agriindustrial formations, and the effect on the development of rural
territories are analyzed. It is proposed to introduce certain corrections to
state’s agrarian policy in connection with the activity of agriholdings.

ECONOMIC TIES: TRENDS OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT
V. Osypov, O. Ermakova «The development of Ukraine’s
export of metal products to countries of the Arab iron and steel union» –
Consequences of the world crisis for the world and Ukrainian markets of metal
products are analyzed. The main tendencies on the Arabian market of metal
products and specific features of the export of metal products from Ukraine to
countries of the Arab iron and steel union are studied, and its dynamics and
the commodity-nomenclature structure are shown.

Mel’nyk L., Khvesyk M., Matsenko O. «The economic
mechanism of the norm-setting of the anthropogenic loading on water ecosystems»
– The authors analyze the signs which determine the critical limits of the
anthropogenic loading on water ecosystems and give recommendations to normalize
a load on the river discharge in correspondence with the water collection area.
With regard for an ecological state of the basin of an aqueous object, it is
proposed to use the relevant economic tools and levers stimulating the users of
water to rationalize the water management.
