Next year, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will expand its financing of projects in Ukraine. The main areas of cooperation in 2024 will include financing for manufacturers of equipment for demining agricultural land, a war risk insurance project, and lending to the real economy. This was discussed during a meeting between Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy of Ukraine, and Audrey Renaud-Basso, President of the EBRD. -

France has introduced a bilateral mechanism for insuring investments in Ukraine. The French state-owned insurance company, Bpifrance Assurance Export, will insure French companies that are ready to invest in Ukraine and take an active part in the country's reconstruction without waiting for the war to end. -

On Wednesday, 27 September, Kyiv hosted the first forum dedicated to humanitarian demining in Ukraine – the Demine Ukraine Forum. The event was attended by representatives of Ukrainian government agencies, embassies of donor countries, demining operators, domestic manufacturers of survey and demining equipment, representatives of the agricultural sector and other stakeholders. -

War and political risk insurance is an important element in creating an appropriate investment climate to attract private capital and support for long-term projects to restore Ukraine. For example, insurance projects from the US Development Finance Corporation, which are already in the final stages of preparation, will send a positive signal to potential investors. It is important that the DFC mandate includes insurance for both American and other foreign and Ukrainian investors. -
