Processing and production facilities, 1,500 jobs and investments in the region's economy – these are the results expected by the initiators of the "BORSCHIV" industrial park in Ternopil region. At a meeting on 23 April, the Government made a decision to include this industrial park in the Register of Industrial Parks.

"The development of production on the basis of industrial parks is an important component of the "Made in Ukraine" economic policy. Let me remind you that we are launching a programme for the development of industrial parks, and this year the state budget has allocated UAH 1 billion for its implementation. An integrated approach to supporting and promoting park creation initiatives, in particular by local authorities, will allow solving a number of issues simultaneously: job creation, local economic development, and increased revenues to budgets at all levels. And most importantly, by promoting the development of high value-added industries, we are building a solid foundation for strengthening and qualitatively transforming Ukraine's economy," said Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vitaliy Kindrativ.

The creation of the "BORSCHIV" industrial park was initiated by the Borschiv City Council. It is expected that the 30-hectare park will host enterprises producing flour and cereals, oil, protein mixtures, flour products, and semi-finished products (including long-term storage bakery products), production of fruit and berry products, meat and dairy products, processing and packaging of vegetables, fruits and berries. 

The park will also process medicinal herbs. The products of this facility are used in the pharmaceutical, perfume and cosmetics, food, and alcoholic beverage industries.

The park's participants will also include companies specialising in the production of building materials, gypsum products, plasterboard, building mixtures, wood products, furniture, etc.

At present, 78 industrial parks are included in the register of industrial parks along with "BORSCHIV".
