The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine is beginning the acceptance of applications for the construction of the pavilion of Ukraine at the World EXPO 2020 in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

According to the tender terms, the Ukrainian pavilion must be constructed for finishing decoration together with installation of all necessary communications (electricity, water supply, etc.), as well as arrangement of the adjacent territory in accordance with the requirements of EXPO2020 Organizing Committee.

Participation in the tender may be taken by Ukrainian and foreign companies of all forms of ownership provided that they meet the qualification criteria:

• Documented experience in the construction of at least one national pavilion within the framework of World EXPO exhibitions : in Shanghai (2010), Milan (2015), or in the construction of a pavilion at the international exhibitions under the auspices of the International EXPO Exhibitions Bureau: in Yeosu (2012) and Astana (2017), or availability of concluded contracts for the construction of national pavilions of other participating countries within the framework of EXPO 2020, including, in particular, the construction and installation works. The contractor must also provide copies of the contracts;
• Availability of personnel having relevant qualifications and necessary knowledge and skills, as well as all necessary permits and licenses in accordance with the UAE legislation: project consultant, project design consultant, supervisor, architect;
• Availability of appropriate licenses and permits for the construction works in accordance with the UAE legislation issued by the public authorities of Dubai: a document confirming qualifications; a document confirming qualification in energy and water supply; commercial license; professional license.
• Electronic bank guarantee to the amount of USD 27,000 issued by a bank, whose rating according to the classification of one of the world’s leading rating agencies (Fitch IBCA , Standard & Poor’s, Moody’s) meets the requirements of first-class banks.

According to contract terms, the contractor who will conduct the construction works must complete the construction of the pavilion of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of EXPO 2020 Organizing Committee by October 19, 2019.

SE “EXPO-2020” acting as a customer of the construction works, jointly with the contractor, will regularly inspect the site and monitor the progress of works at the construction site.
