Today, on September 13, the Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Mylovanov met with the Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Finland Ville Skinnari.

During the meeting, Tymofiy Mylovanov emphasized that one of the main priorities of the Government is to ensure sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy, improve the investment climate, implement land and labor market reforms, as well as ensure further cooperation with the IMF. In his turn, Ville Skinnari, referring to Finland’s current presidency in the EU Council, reaffirmed the EU’s willingness to continue supporting Ukraine in the implementation of structural reforms.

In particular, during the meeting, the interlocutors stressed upon the importance of increasing the scope of bilateral trade, using all opportunities offered by the EU-Ukraine Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area. The Ministry of Economy will work jointly with State Institution “Export Promotion Office of Ukraine” and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to hold the Ukrainian-Finnish Business Forum in the first quarter of 2020.
