Aivaras Abromavičius evaluated positively the results of the first ministerial meeting of the Eastern Partnership on Trade

All participating countries of the first ministerial meeting of the eastern Partnership on Trade support willingness of Ukraine to implement provisions of the EU Association Agreement related to free trade area since January 1st, 2016. This was emphasized by the Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavičius, who participated in the event within the frameworks of his working visit to Brussels on May 7-8th.
“The meeting was constructive. The most important questions for our country now were raised, in particular, Agreement implementation. All participants, Ministers of all 28 states support completely our position as to impossibility of this issue setting aside any longer”, the Minister told.
Meeting participants discussed the conditions necessary for a successful development of the trade constituent of the Eastern Partnership, as well as prospects and challenges, which arise or may arise on this way. Except this it was discussed how the EU could support more the eastern partners on a way of economic reforms, except already existing aid (technical and financial support). Productive was also a discussion on joint initiatives of the EU and its eastern partners for the purposes of effective implementation of deep and comprehensive free trade areas.
The Minister Aivaras Abromavičius along with the Trade representative of Ukraine Nataliya Mykol’ska had a number of summit meetings in the European institutions. Namely, Ukrainian delegation talked with the EU Commissioner on Trade Cecilia Malmström and Bernd Lange, Chairman of the EP's trade committee. The Minister informed the EU party about system reforms in Ukraine course, pointing out that recipe for stabilization of economics is significant deregulation of entrepreneurship, improvement of business environment, real corruption fighting. Also issues of readiness of Ukraine for FTA with the EU realization, possibilities of joint border crossing points’ organization, assistance from the EU in realization of reforms and improvement of export potential of Ukrainian producers and service providers were discussed.

European Commission approves the Plan for the Ukraine Facility
On Monday, 15 April, the European Commission approved the Plan for the Ukraine Facility and invited the EU Council to adopt the document. EU member states now have one month to adopt the Implementing Decision proposed by the Commission, which will pave the way for the full launch of the Ukraine Facility programme.

Denmark allocates DKK 300 million to support business projects of its companies in Ukraine
The Danish government allocates additional funds for the Danish-Ukrainian fund, which promotes the attraction of investments by Danish companies in Ukraine. This was stated by Minister for Business of Denmark Morten Bødskov during the Second Investment Forum on the Reconstruction of Ukraine. The event was opened by First Lady Olena Zelenska. In addition, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen and First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko took part in the forum.

eOselia: 9,000 Ukrainian families took loans for the purchase of housing worth UAH 14 billion
According to the eOselia programme, 9,000 Ukrainians took loans for the purchase of housing for a total amount of UAH 14 billion. Every fifth loan have been taken under mass mortgage conditions - at 7%. Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiia Bihun informed about this.
