More than UAH 3.2 billion will be available to businesses in Dnipropetrovsk region under the Made in Ukraine state policy: Yuliia Svyrydenko

Понад 3,2 млрд грн зможе отримати бізнес Дніпропетровщини у межах державної політики “Зроблено в Україні”, – Юлія Свириденко

In 2024, the Government has allocated over UAH 3.2 billion for business support programmes in Dnipropetrovsk region. This funding will help the region, which is located close to the front line, constantly suffers from enemy shelling and is one of the main centres of refuge for internally displaced persons, to preserve its industrial potential and develop small and medium-sized businesses.

This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko during her working visit to Dnipro.

“UAH 3.2 billion under the Made in Ukraine state programme is not a limit. The more actively the region’s businesses apply for support programmes, the more funds they will have access to. This funding is allocated to programmes familiar to business - Affordable Loans 5-7-9%, grants for processing - as well as new or renewed programmes that have proven effective in the past. These include compensation programmes for farmers for the purchase of domestic agricultural machinery and others,” Yuliia Svyrydenko said.

The compensation programme is now actively developing, as farmers need to upgrade their fleet, especially in the frontline regions. In Dnipro, Yuliia Svyrydenko signed an order to add 23 domestic manufacturers to the list of agricultural machinery and equipment to be partially compensated by the budget. Five companies from Dnipropetrovsk region: Freight LLC, Arlan LLC, Soyuz-Spetstekhnika LLC, Agricultural Machinery Plant LLC, and Yelezavetivsky Mechanical Plant LLC are among them.

In addition, in the presence of the Minister of Economy, Oschadbank signed an agreement under the Affordable Loans 5-7-9% programme with Yekaterinoslavska Dvirna Artel Trade Manufacturing Company. This is a local manufacturer of metal doors that works both for the domestic market and exports its products. The company will use nearly UAH 20 million to purchase solar panels, new equipment and raw materials to increase production to 10,000 doors per month.

Over the past two years, 5,983 loan agreements have been concluded in the region. And since the beginning of the year, 419 loan agreements totalling UAH 1.5 billion have been signed.

A mortgage agreement under the eOselia programme was also signed with a military woman from Kryvyi Rih who is serving under contract. Her husband is also in the army. The family of defenders received a mortgage at 0% interest rate and will pay only the principal amount of the loan.

In total, 12,000 preferential mortgages are planned to be issued across the country this year. Thanks to eOselia, construction production is expected to grow by 19.6%.

A memorandum of understanding was also signed in Dnipro to support the grantee under the Own Business for Veterans programme. Roman Kvasnykov, a participant in the 2014 war and IDP from Sloviansk, was able to restore his paint production business in Dnipro thanks to the grant.

Dnipro is among the leaders in terms of the number of grants for small and microbusinesses among other regions. Since the launch of the Vlasna Sprava (Own Business) programme, the region has approved 780 positive decisions on grants worth more than UAH 184.7 million. In addition, small and medium-sized businesses are actively recovering in the region. Dnipropetrovsk region ranks second in the country in terms of the number of newly registered individual entrepreneurs and companies established over the past year.

Yuliia Svyrydenko thanked the region’s entrepreneurs for their resilience and support from the state, as well as for preserving the region’s industrial potential.

“Metallurgy, mining, mechanical engineering, chemical industry - all of these continue to develop. Nevertheless, the industrial potential of the region is high, with 3,700 industrial enterprises, most of which are contributors to the budget. Moreover, last year the region has managed to increase sales of industrial products by 10% compared to 2022 to UAH 363.6 billion per year. It is important for us to support the region’s industry, because in addition to significant budget revenues, they primarily employ hundreds of thousands of people in the region. It is often thanks to large-scale production that life in cities and towns is restored, and people are motivated not to leave their home region in search of work,” Minister of Economy emphasized.

She also informed that a regional Made in Ukraine office had been launched in the region. Such offices already operate in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, etc. There, entrepreneurs can get all the information they need about government business support programmes.
