Last week, nearly 700 entrepreneurs obtained loans through the government's Affordable Loans 5-7-9% program, amounting to a total of UAH 3.5 billion. Starting from the beginning of 2023, banks have granted 20,000 loans totaling UAH 70 billion to businesses. Since the program's inception in February 2020, 73,000 loans worth UAH 237.5 billion have been disbursed
Most entrepreneurs have taken out anti-crisis loans (UAH 60.4 billion) and anti-war loans (UAH 51.5 billion). UAH 28.1 billion was utilized to refinance existing loans, UAH 34.4 billion for boosting working capital, and UAH 17.7 billion for investment purposes. Additionally, agrarian businesses obtained UAH 37.4 billion in loans to support their operations, and trading companies secured UAH 4.5 billion in loans to replenish working capital.
The program is most frequently utilized by companies in the following sectors:
- Agriculture (51%);
- Trade and manufacturing (26%);
- Industrial processing (14%).
Among the regions, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Vinnytsia regions, and the city of Kyiv lead in terms of the total amount of loan agreements concluded.
Currently, 45 banks are participating in the program, with Privatbank (33,800), Oschadbank (10,800), and Raiffeisen Bank Aval (5,400) being the top lenders in terms of the number of loans issued.
