Relocation: 725 Enterprises Moved to Safe Regions

725 enterprises moved from the regions of active hostilities to safer ones, of which 528 have already resumed their activities at the new location. Another 284 companies are currently searching for a suitable location or method of transportation. This was announced by Tetiana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, on the air of Suspilne.

“Any enterprise willing to move its production facilities to relatively safe regions of the country can join the relocation program. The state provides such enterprises with a package of support, which, among other things, includes the selection of a new location for the placement of the company, assistance with transportation to a new place, assistance in the resettlement of employees who moved with the enterprise and in the search for new employees, as well as support in restoring logistics, procurement of raw materials and search for sales markets. We hope that the relocation program will help businesses resume their activities as soon as possible, save jobs, pay taxes and thus support the country’s economy,” said Tetiana Berezhna.

According to her, among the relocated enterprises that have already resumed their activities in the new place, the majority are enterprises working in the field of wholesale and retail trade, making more than 40% (of the total number of relocated enterprises) and enterprises in the field of processing industry – 30%. Also, among displaced companies, almost 7% are engaged in information and telecommunication activities, 6% in professional, scientific and technical activities, and 4% in construction.

The largest number of enterprises relocated to Lviv (29% of relocated enterprises), Zakarpattia (18%), Chernivtsi (13%), Ternopil (8%) and Khmelnytskyi (7.6%) oblasts.

Among the large relocated companies, the Deputy Minister of Economy named Pozhmashyna LLC, Corum Druzhkivka Machine-Building Plant LLC, Stalex LLC and Kramatorsk Heavy Duty Machine Tool Building Plant PJSC. 

In total, 1,816 enterprises registered applications for relocation on the single online platform of interaction of the participants in the relocation program of Prozorro.Sale SE, while 601 companies refused relocation in connection with the de-occupation of the territories of Ukraine.
